Order Pack Size Calculator
Round a required purchase quantity up to full supplier packs while meeting a minimum order quantity. See extra units and total purchase cost.
What does this calculator measure?
An order pack size calculator converts required units into a purchasable quantity that satisfies both full-pack ordering and the supplier minimum order quantity. This version treats the minimum as units for one product.

Order packs = ceil(max(Required units, Minimum order units) ÷ Units per pack). Purchase units = Order packs × Units per pack.
You need 65 units, the minimum order is 100 units and each pack holds 24 units. Order 5 packs, or 120 units. That is 55 units above your requirement, costing 600 at 5 per unit.
How to use the calculator
- Choose the product, category or business and the period you want to review.
- Enter the figures described beside each field using consistent units.
- Review the result alongside the assumptions below before changing purchasing or stock plans.
How to interpret your result
This rounds upward so the purchase meets both constraints. Enter a zero minimum if the supplier has no MOQ. If your required quantity is zero but the minimum is positive, the calculator still shows the minimum compliant purchase; it does not decide whether you should place an order. Freight, discounts, expiry and storage capacity are excluded.

What if the MOQ is not a multiple of the pack size?
Round to the next full pack that meets the MOQ. A 100-unit minimum with 24 units per pack requires 120 units.
What if my supplier quotes price per pack?
Divide the pack price by units per pack before entering purchase cost per unit.
Does MOQ mean I must buy whenever stock is reviewed?
No. MOQ is a constraint if you place an order. The calculator shows a compliant quantity and does not determine whether buying is necessary.
