OTIF Calculator
Measure orders delivered both on time and in full. Compare delivery reliability using one clear order-level definition.
What does this calculator measure?
On time in full (OTIF) is the percentage of eligible orders that meet both the agreed delivery deadline and the full quantity requirement. Count only orders that satisfy both conditions, not the sum of separate on-time and in-full totals.

OTIF (%) = Orders delivered both on time and in full ÷ Eligible orders × 100
Of 200 eligible orders, 180 arrived on time with the complete required quantity. OTIF is 180 ÷ 200 × 100 = 90%. The other 20 failed at least one condition.
How to use the calculator
- Choose the product, category or business and the period you want to review.
- Enter the figures described beside each field using consistent units.
- Review the result alongside the assumptions below before changing purchasing or stock plans.
How to interpret your result
Define the delivery window, acceptable quantity tolerance, split-shipment policy and treatment of cancellations before comparing results. This calculator uses orders as the denominator; line-level and unit-level OTIF definitions produce different figures. Review late-only, short-only and both-failed orders separately to find the cause.

Can I multiply on-time rate by in-full rate?
Not to get the measured OTIF rate. You need the number of orders meeting both conditions; separate rates do not describe how the two groups overlap.
Is OTIF the same as order fill rate?
No. Order fill rate measures complete fulfillment under its stated rules. OTIF also requires meeting the agreed delivery timing.
Should I use requested date or promised date?
Use the date specified in your customer or supplier agreement, and keep that basis consistent. Mixing date definitions makes comparisons unreliable.
